KHOLDE | TERMS OF USE
Last Updated: October 18, 2026
Welcome to KHOLDE. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KHOLDE website, business directory, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
KHOLDE is a business discovery platform designed to help people find, explore, and connect with Black-owned businesses and professionals across different industries and locations.
By accessing or using KHOLDE, submitting a business listing, or making a payment through the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using KHOLDE, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms and any applicable laws and regulations.
You must be at least 18 years old to submit a business listing or make a payment. If you submit a listing on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to act on its behalf.
KHOLDE reserves the right to restrict or discontinue access to the Platform when necessary to protect its users, business listings, or operations.
2. Purpose of the Platform
KHOLDE provides an online directory where visitors can discover Black-owned businesses, explore business profiles, view photographs and services, and access contact information or external business links.
KHOLDE serves as a discovery and connection platform. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, KHOLDE does not directly provide, manage, supervise, or fulfill the products or services offered by listed businesses.
Any communication, purchase, appointment, contract, or transaction between a visitor and a listed business is conducted independently of KHOLDE.
KHOLDE does not guarantee business performance, customer satisfaction, service availability, or the outcome of transactions between users and listed businesses.
3. Business Listing Eligibility and Submission
Business owners or authorized representatives may submit their businesses for consideration through KHOLDE's submission form.
By submitting a listing, you represent and agree that:
-
You are the owner of the business or have permission to submit information on its behalf.
-
Your business meets KHOLDE's published listing eligibility requirements.
-
All information submitted is accurate, truthful, and reasonably current.
-
You have the legal right to use and submit all photographs, logos, descriptions, and other materials included in your listing.
-
Your business operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
-
You will notify KHOLDE of material changes to your business information.
Submitting a business does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
KHOLDE reserves the right to approve, decline, request modifications to, suspend, or remove a business listing when it does not meet the Platform's eligibility requirements, content standards, or applicable laws.
4. Listing Review and Approval
All submitted business listings are subject to review before publication.
KHOLDE may review information such as business ownership, services, photographs, contact information, and other submitted details to determine whether a listing meets Platform requirements.
KHOLDE may request additional information or clarification before approving a submission.
Approval confirms that a listing has been accepted for inclusion in the KHOLDE directory. It does not constitute professional certification, licensing verification, endorsement, or a guarantee of the business's services.
KHOLDE may reassess an approved listing if new information raises concerns about its accuracy, eligibility, or compliance.
5. Listing Fees and Payments
KHOLDE charges a $30 one-time fee for an approved business listing.
The following conditions apply:
-
The fee is charged once for the approved listing.
-
There is no recurring monthly or annual listing subscription associated with this fee.
-
Payment is required before the approved listing is published.
-
Submission of a business for review does not guarantee approval.
-
KHOLDE may use a third-party payment processor, such as Stripe, to securely process payments.
Any additional paid features, promotional opportunities, or services introduced in the future will be disclosed separately before purchase.
KHOLDE reserves the right to change listing prices for future submissions. Any changes will be communicated before the applicable payment is collected.
6. Refunds and Payment Disputes
The $30 listing fee is generally non-refundable once payment has been completed and the approved listing has been published.
Removing a listing, closing a business, or choosing not to continue using KHOLDE does not automatically entitle the business owner to a refund.
Refund requests involving duplicate charges, processing errors, failure to publish an approved paid listing, or other exceptional circumstances will be reviewed individually.
Nothing in these Terms limits refund rights or other consumer protections required by applicable law.
If you believe a payment was processed incorrectly, please contact KHOLDE through its Contact Us page so the issue can be reviewed.
You also retain any rights to dispute charges with your payment provider under applicable law and payment network rules.
KHOLDE may investigate disputed transactions and take reasonable action concerning listings associated with fraudulent payments, unauthorized transactions, or violations of these Terms.
7. Business Profiles and Submitted Content
Approved business listings may include:
-
Business name and category
-
Owner or representative information
-
Business descriptions and stories
-
Photographs of products, services, or completed work
-
Specialties and areas of expertise
-
City and state
-
Contact information
-
Social media profiles
-
Website or booking links
Business owners retain ownership of the original content they submit, subject to any rights held by third parties.
By submitting content, you grant KHOLDE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the Platform and your business listing.
This permission includes displaying submitted materials within KHOLDE's website, directory pages, business profiles, and related promotional communications.
You represent that your submitted materials do not infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
8. Business Promotion and Marketing
KHOLDE may feature approved businesses through its website, social media accounts, newsletters, editorial content, promotional campaigns, and other marketing channels.
Featured placement or promotional exposure is not guaranteed as part of the standard listing fee.
KHOLDE may determine which businesses to feature based on editorial considerations, relevance, category, location, or other appropriate factors.
Businesses may contact KHOLDE regarding concerns about the use of their submitted content in promotional materials.
9. Professional Licensing, Credentials, and Verification
KHOLDE is a business discovery and directory platform and does not provide, endorse, supervise, or guarantee the services offered by businesses or professionals listed on the Platform.
Businesses are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining any licenses, permits, certifications, registrations, insurance, or other credentials required by applicable federal, state, or local law.
Unless expressly identified by KHOLDE as verified, KHOLDE does not independently verify the licensing, credentials, qualifications, or regulatory standing of listed businesses or professionals.
Inclusion in the KHOLDE directory should not be interpreted as confirmation that a business or professional is licensed, certified, insured, or otherwise authorized to provide a particular service.
Businesses submitting information to KHOLDE represent that the information they provide is accurate and that they are legally permitted to advertise and provide the services included in their listing.
Any verification designation or badge issued by KHOLDE applies only to the specific information or qualifications expressly identified as verified. It does not constitute a general guarantee or endorsement.
KHOLDE reserves the right to modify, suspend, or remove listings containing inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, or unverifiable information.
Visitors are encouraged to independently confirm licensing, credentials, insurance, and other qualifications when appropriate before purchasing or receiving services.
10. Accuracy of Business Information
KHOLDE strives to provide a useful and reliable business discovery experience. However, business information may change without notice.
KHOLDE does not guarantee that all listings, descriptions, photographs, pricing information, contact details, business hours, or external links are complete, accurate, or current.
Listed businesses are responsible for providing accurate information and requesting corrections when necessary.
Visitors should independently confirm important details directly with a business before making purchasing, booking, or hiring decisions.
11. Listing Updates and Removal
Business owners may request updates, corrections, or removal of their listings by contacting KHOLDE.
KHOLDE may require reasonable verification of ownership or authorization before making changes to a listing.
KHOLDE reserves the right to remove, suspend, or restrict listings that:
-
Violate these Terms or applicable laws.
-
Contain false, misleading, or unauthorized information.
-
Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
-
Promote fraudulent, harmful, or unlawful activities.
-
No longer meet KHOLDE's eligibility requirements.
-
Present reasonable concerns regarding the integrity or safety of the Platform.
Listing removal does not automatically result in reimbursement of previously paid listing fees, except where required by law or expressly approved by KHOLDE.
12. Intellectual Property
The KHOLDE name, logo, branding, website design, original text, graphics, layouts, and other materials created by KHOLDE are owned by KHOLDE or used with appropriate permission.
These materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Users may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, modify, or commercially exploit KHOLDE's proprietary materials without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

-
Submit false, fraudulent, misleading, or impersonated business information.

-
Misrepresent a business's affiliation with or endorsement by KHOLDE.
KHOLDE may restrict access or remove content when it reasonably determines that these rules have been violated.
14. Third-Party Websites and Services
KHOLDE listings may contain links to external websites, social media profiles, booking services, payment platforms, or other third-party resources.
KHOLDE does not control these external services and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability, policies, or transactions.
Users should review the applicable terms and privacy policies of third-party services before using them.
15. Privacy and Personal Information
KHOLDE collects and processes certain information to operate the Platform, review submissions, communicate with business owners, and display approved business listings.
Business owners acknowledge that information designated for public listing, including business names, descriptions, locations, contact details, and submitted photographs, may become publicly accessible after approval and publication.
Personal information is handled in accordance with KHOLDE's Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Users should avoid submitting sensitive personal information that is not necessary for their listing.

Any material changes affecting paid services will be communicated as appropriate.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KHOLDE provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
KHOLDE makes no guarantee that use of the Platform will result in increased sales, customer inquiries, appointments, business growth, or specific promotional exposure.
KHOLDE does not warrant the quality, safety, legality, reliability, or suitability of products and services offered by independently listed businesses.
Nothing in this section excludes warranties or protections that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KHOLDE shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Platform or transactions between users and independent businesses.
KHOLDE is not responsible for disputes, losses, injuries, or damages resulting from products or services provided by independently listed businesses, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
19. Changes to These Terms
KHOLDE reserves the right to update these Terms to reflect changes in its services, policies, business practices, or legal obligations.
The latest version will be made available on the KHOLDE website with an updated effective date.
Material changes may be communicated through the Platform or other appropriate channels.
Continued use of KHOLDE after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be addressed in accordance with applicable law.
